Breech

Last Thursday at my doctor's appointment (which are coming every week now) we found out that the baby is breech. Little stinker, it was head down at my 20 wk ultrasound! The doctor wasn't very hopeful that baby will turn, but I'm not going to give up hope for my vaginal birth yet.

Since my appoinment I've gotten into just about every position imaginable to try to get the baby to turn. Spinningbabies.com is the site that I've been using. I've also started seeing a chiropractor to try the Webster Method to encourage the baby to turn. My first visit was monday this week, and I will be going back twice a week for the next few weeks.

I wish I could see what is going on in there. The baby has moved, but I cant tell what position he/she is in now. Up to this point, there has been a ball sticking out of the top of my belly, just a little to the left (which I learned last Thursday is the baby's head) Today when I woke up the ball was not in its usual place. I can't tell where it is, I'm thinking it just moved over to the other side since I'm still getting some pretty good kicks down low. I'm starting to drive myself crazy with trying to figure out how this baby laying. UGH!! I know I need to just relax; I'm doing everything I can and I will find out if it worked at my u/s at 38 weeks.

Turn baby, turn!!

  1. I'm sorry baby isn't cooperating. My daughter was breech at our 36 week appointment and was scheduled for an External Cephalic Version for a week later. I was so nervous for that because it's where they basically lube your belly up with ultrasound gel and then try to force baby to turn around with their hands on your belly. Well fortunately my driveway has a incline to it so i layed down head down for about 10 minutes and it must have worked because when i got to my appointment for the ECV when they did the ultrasound she was head down! Hope it all works out for you! Turn Baby Turn!!!
